Xi’an International School is an American-based international school that celebrates high academic achievement and cultivating the well-being of each student.

XIS students are divided into 3 groups

  • Elementary: Kindergarten -5th grade (5-10 year olds)
  • Middle School: 6th-8th grade (11-13)
  • High School: 9th-12th grade (14-18)

All students receive a minimum of 250 hours per class per week for English and math and meet daily for all core classes (English, Chinese, math, science, and social studies). Elective classes (PE, art, music, library, etc), meet at least once a week.

XIS classes are around 15 students each on average.

Physical textbooks are highly prized at XIS. Through the foundation of textbooks, teachers are able to use this classroom resource to catapult and activate the learning environment to a new depth of understanding.

    Sixth Grade – Twelfth Grade

    Various tracks based on: McGraw Hill’s iScience (2018): Earth, Life, and Physical Science (primarily middle school); McGraw-Hill, Prentice Hall, and Pearson: AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science using NGSS
